If you haven't dropped into the St Uriel's website for a while (http://www.saint-uriels.org
) you will notice a new look to the site, but that's not all that's
been going on.

We recently moved the weekly service from it's former home at the
chapel in Marrickville to a larger, more attractive home at the
Unitarian Church in Darlinghurst.

We're no longer a narthex of the Apostolic Johannite Church, we're now
a parish of the AJC since I attended the recent Conclave a few weeks
ago. At the Conclave, I knelt before my bishop and was ordained a
priest in the holy, catholic and apostolic church. Shortly afterwards,
he announced the formation of the Parish of Saint Uriel the Archangel
and my appointment as rector (or presiding priest) of the parish.

So, now we meet weekly for a Gnostic, Johannite Eucharist (or Holy
Communion) service at our new venue every Sunday evening at 7pm. The
service is a beautiful, ancient yet modern rite celebrating the
immanent presence of the Divine in our everyday experience.

Unlike other churches with which you might be familiar, the AJC opens
its doors to anyone regardless of race, cultural background, religious
affiliation, belief (or lack thereof), gender or sexual orientation.
Similarly, we don't restrict who can share in the communion service
with us.

So, please come and join us to share one of the most ancient
celebrations in our western tradition hosted by one of the youngest
churches in Sydney.

In particular, this coming Sunday we celebrate the festival of our
patron saint, Uriel the Archangel, one of the four Archangels who
guard the manifest world and the patron of elemental earth.
