[st uriel's] Come and help build the church you want

On Sunday 26 October 2008, a group of people will gather in Sydney to help
form the first Gnostic, Esoteric, Christian church of the 21st century.
Won't you come and be one of them?

I'm sending you this email because at some point, you have been interested
in exploring what a modern, Gnostic church might do for you and your
personal spiritual quest. I'm asking you to step a little further into that
curiosity and for a couple of hours to ask:

"What does the Church I dream of look like?"

Rather than asking you to come and be part of a pre-existing church where
everything is set up and you have to just join in, I'm proposing we meet as
fellow travellers, each with our own needs and hopes, our skills and gifts
and join in dreaming up a spiritual community we all want to be part of.

You may come to this one gathering and never come again, but please come
this once.

Time: 4pm, Sun 26 Oct 2008
Place: Unitarian Church, 15 Francis St, Darlinghurst.

Please bring yourself and any interested friends.

We'll provide tea, coffee and snacks.

I will celebrate a Eucharist service from around 6pm for anyone who wants to
come along.

RSVP by Sun 19 Oct to give me an idea of numbers.
