I'm in Sydney this weekend and I'm very keen to celebrate the Eucharist with people.

Next Tuesday is the holy day of Mary of Magdala, companion of the Master Jesus and one of the leading disciples of the early church. Mary is one of the many women honoured in the Johannite community for their compassion, spiritual achievement and leadership.

To honour Mary, this Sunday I will be celebrating the AJC's Sophianic Liturgy for my first time. This service is a service of Holy Communion, just as the usual liturgy is, but more of the prayers are addressed to the Feminine nature of the Divine.
